Paraclinic investigations include a variety of medical procedures and services: lumbar puncture and cerebrospinal fluid analysis, electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyogram (EMG), radiographic examination (skull and spinal radiograph), cervical cerebrovascular Doppler, cerebral tomography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).The term neurology was introduced by English anatomist Thomas Willis.The most common neurological disorders are strokes, epilepsy, head trauma, neoplastic diseases of the nervous system, motion sickness (Parkinson’s disease), peripheral nervous diseases, motor neurons, muscles or neuro-muscular junction (peripheral neuropathies, myasthenia gravis ), sleep disorders, migraines, etc.
